ALBUM REVIEW: Emmy The Great 'First Love' out 2nd February on Close Harbour

It's easy to see why Emmy The Great is already making huge waves with her debut album.

Her voice is beautifully pitched with an almost lullaby-ic quality to it that manages to retain your attention whilst drawing you in to a kind of happy trance.

Of course it's not only her voice that makes this album shine like a silver penny in the wishing well of new music. Huge credit has to go to the musicians that really set this apart.

Emmy The Great is much more than one person, it's a collaborative effort between like minded musicians who really care about what they are doing. There's no industry tampering here. The whole project was self funded, self released and self produced and it's these three S's that have contributed to what is sure to be a huge success.

5/5
